Hi,

Does anybody know the cooperative education program rankings for undergraduate?
Thanks

northeastern's #1 for that

Northwestern, Rochester Institute of Technology, Drexel, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Portland State

PACE UNIVERSITY'S co-op program "has grown to be one of the largest programs among senior colleges and graduate schools in the country and is the leading university program in the New York metropolitan area," according to their website. And, I can atest to that because I go there and just finished my first co-op internship.

Univ of Cincinnati was the first co-op in the nation to my knowledge. It started in 1906, and might have one of the most comprehensive ones around. Check them out.

Wait, Northeastern's started in 1906 aswell...

If you read Cincinnati's web site on the subject, they state that they were first. I can't vouch for the truth of this statement. I am sure that both Northeastern and Cincinnati have strong coop programs since both are rated in top 10 coops;however, Cincinnati is about $10,000-$11,000 cheaper per year!

what are the top 10 coops taxguy (since you know they are rated in top 10, you know the rest of them)

The Best for Co-Ops are:

Alverno College (WI)
Antioch College (OH)
Berea College (KY)
Cal PolySan Luis Obispo *
Drexel University (PA)
Georgia Institute of Technology *
Northeastern University (MA)
Portland State University (OR)*
Rochester Inst. of Technology (NY)
University of Cincinnati *
Warren Wilson College (NC)

For ranking purposes, I'd say that the best are:
1. Northeastern UniversityI)*
2. University of Cincinnati
3. Rochester Inst. of Technology
4. Georgia Institute of Technology
5. Drexel University/Berea College

I did not see US News rate the Coops in any order other than to list the top 10. Can you please give the url where They list Northeastern as number 1?

They ranked Northeastern #1 in an article they wrote a while ago, and it's all over the campus, haven't seen it online, but I don't think the college would flaunt it if it were a lie.

How about Canadian Universities? Do they have the same program?

most canadian universities have co-op programs
and all the good universities have them (UBC, UofT, UWaterloo)
waterloo probably has the best co-op in canada though, since they are famous for that program, with internships with microsoft, ati, nvidia, ibm, etc
