Just wondering what the situation will look like for me. I will be graduating from CC, so I will be a junior with around 60 credits. Since the first year is all academics, will I only have my senior year left for a co-op? I was hoping to squeeze two in but seeing as they take 6 months (?) I don’t think that’s possible. Could anybody give me some info on how this might work for me? Thanks
Most students that do 2 coops are on a 5 year plan. So you can do:
Year 3 Fall - Academics
Year 3 Spring - Coop
Year 4 Fall - Academics
Year 4 Spring- Coop
Year 5 Fall and Spring - Academics
That gives you 4 semesters (2 years) of course work and 1 year of coop. You only pay tuition for the 2 years of courses.
Oh, I thought I need one whole year of academics first? So I could start next spring already?
actually - not sure what the rule is for transfers. but even if you do, you can switch up the schedule and get the same answer:
Year 3 Fall & Spring- Academics
Year 4 Fall - Coop
Year 4 Spring- Academics
Year 5 Fall- Coop
Year 5 Spring - Academics
It will depend on whether you want to take 2 or 3 years to finish. Also be aware that in the summers you will likely be either working on coop or in class.
Ah I see - I thought summers might change it up a bit. thanks for the help Does that mean I’d be paying two years of tuition? I used to go to a CC so I’m not used to this kind of system at all haha
If you enter with 60 credits you will pay for 4 semesters to graduate.
@TomSrOfBoston Oh okay, thanks!
