Co-Rec Status

How is it looking/operating?

I cant imagine it looking great at the moment, but are you still able to go in it/use the basketball courts/racquetball courts/etc?

I'm good with the outside stuff, but play bball in 20 degress wont be the most fun for my first year, haha

Part of it (the TREC, this is brand new and next to the main co-rec building. The main co-rec building was just closed last semester) is now open and there’s a lot of equipment (temporary until completion of the whole co-rec) and stuff to do there. More equipment and group fitness classes are dispersed through out the residence halls. The whole co-rec is supposed to be finished in 2012 and should be amazing and one thousand times better than the old co-rec.

sweet thanks. I’m starting in August and wasn’t looking forward to not being able to work out or play b-ball/v-ball in 0 degrees everyday

There are two courts in the T-REC but volleyball and badminton have priority. The T-REC also has a two lane 1/8th mile track with most if not all the equipment you need for a good workout. There really is no need to go to a residence hall imho.

For basketball you can play at the East/West gym at the Co-Rec. There are 6 full courts open but depending on the time there might be an intramural game going on.

Unfortunately you are unable to play racquetball until the new Co-Rec opens.

Alright, not too bad.

The only reason I was interested in the racquetball courts is to play walleyball. My idea of racquetball is hitting the ball at other people, haha
