Co-Whatever

What does Co-Captain or Co-President mean? I see it on CC threads. Is it just 2 Co-Captain or Co-Presidents or are there sometimes more like 3 or 4? What does Co- mean?

Bump…

Bump…

“co-” pref. 1. Together; joint; jointly; mutually: coeducation.

It means more than one. Who is to say if it’s fifteen or two? Frankly, why worry about it?

On a separate note.
Can you just say that you’re a president instead of saying co-pres?

Colleges do not discount an activity because you are co-president instead of president…a student is not responsible for how an extracurricular activity is set up.

If, however, a college discovers you fudged on your application…like perhaps another application lists the same office you have, or a GC or letter of recommendation mentions your co-presidency…the college is likely to see you/your application in an unfavorable light, not because of the presidency/co-presidency issue, but because of what your need for puffery/self-aggranidzement and lack of honesty/integrity says about you.
