So I know if you major in Chemical Engineering for undergrad, you can't do ChemE at Berkeley for grad school, but does the same thing apply to the Chemistry major? If I major in Chemistry, can I go to Berkeley for grad school in Chemistry? What if I did Chemistry undergrad/ChemE grad, or vice versa? Is that allowed?

Don’t know about the very last question (Chem undergrad/ChemE grad), but I know that the College discourages undergrads from applying to Berkeley for grad school in Chem (if you majored in Chem for your undergrad). They kind of want you to explore other schools, and it’s pretty rare that an undergrad Chem major would be accepted here for grad school…at least that’s what I’ve heard from seniors. I think after four years at Berkeley, I’m probably ready for another school. (Love Cal, but it’s always good to see what’s out there).
