<p>Yeah notification is coming on monday it seems to me</p>
<p>People on this board are so nice that I wish all of us win and go to Atlanta to meet each other. I checked almost a million times today to see if the login page opened up. I am so tired that I feel like drinking a large jug of Pepsi and go to sleep - but I can’t; if I win, I will exchange all the Pepsis we have in our home for Coke. Am I the only one who is still hoping that the results will be published tonight? Could there be any possibility that the winners have already been notified by email and others will be notified by US mail?</p>
<p>I don’t know! It’s so strange that the 2011 finalist login still says February 4th. I’m just suprised they didn’t come out today.</p>
<p>I hope they did not mean February 4, 2012! Haha - it would be a long wait then.</p>
<p>You guys are awesome! I cant wait to see the results… too bad the notification date is so ambiguous… But we’ll all find out, eventually! I also wanted to point out the little use of social media within the Semifinalists… I was a Questbridge Finalist (non-matched) and we have a group of 126 on FB (out of 2,000). So the numbers for finalists are similar… We chat all the time… We posted up our stats… and we keep everyone updated even after the Dec. 1st notification date… I guess what im trying to say, the wait was much easier when 100 other kids are waiting WITH you :D</p>
<p>I guess the day’s almost officially over on the East Coast. Monday it is then. Anyone know around what time the list was up last year?</p>
<p>Good question! I looked it up according to all the posts from last year. And the notification date was assigned for Friday, February 5th. The list of finalists was accidentally posted up 2 days earlier for a few states… Eventually they shut everything down because of all the technical difficulties and had a final list posted 3 DAYS LATER, on Monday, February 8th 
… Although all letters were sent out on Friday, all emails were received by Monday evening. I hope this has not happened to us. I cant wait until monday!</p>
<p>The “Happy New Year” e-mail they sent on January 5 has the following:
Results will be sent by mail and e-mail around February 7.</p>
<p>So, this means may be February 7. They might have already sent the snail mail today, but will sent the e-mail on Monday, so both the snail mail and the e-mail will arrive on the same day. This makes more sense. </p>
<p>So…there is still hope for us to be in the top 10%.</p>
<p>Well we waited this long whats a few more days. I am so ready to find out though! Good luck, everyone! Being 1 of 2,150 is great considering there were nearly 71,000 who applied; we are the best of the best and no matter what we will all go places in life!</p>
<p>So do they mail notifications only to the finalists? How many people are chosen from each state?</p>

<p>There are about 250 chosen and there are no set amount of individuals from each state. No one knows about when notifications come out, but everyone will know their status.</p>

<p>The “Happy New Year” e-mail was sent on Jan 5, before the Jan 7 deadline. So you might have lost it or didn’t remember. If you didn’t get it, I don’t think it meant anything, because it was sent before the Jan 7 deadline.</p>

<p>I feel like all of my anticipation built up so much yesterday that now I’m actually pretty calm. I have been drinking Coke all day for some good luck 
My mom is an avid Coke drinker, and she told me that if I were to become a finalist, my scholarship would probably be funded by the money she’s spent on Coke for the past 20 years… And I told her that if she hadn’t spent so much money on Coke, I wouldn’t need to apply for the scholarship in the first place!! haha</p>
<p>ahhh yeah…I do remember getting a reminder about the Jan. 7th deadline from them…I had mailed everything in by the beg. of december though, so didn’t pay much attention.</p>
