<p>I had that dream too! It was a few weeks ago and I was so upset when I woke up, haha. I also had a dream that I got into Harvard a few days ago and I seriously laid in bed for a while trying to remember all that happened, haha.</p>
<p>Haha I feel like getting this would probably be a good indicator for college acceptances come late March! But don’t feel too down if we don’t get it because being semifinalists was already like a 3% chance so we’re all amazing!</p>

<p>Well, I haven’t been all that nervous (probably because I don’t think I have a chance in hell of getting it). I mean, a lot of these finalists probably have 2300+ SATS and community service hours in Africa delivering babies. I’m just a 2240 who founded a community service a cappella choir, and while I’m incredibly proud of my accomplishments, I don’t neccesarilly think that they stand up to the rest of the group. Either way, I’m excited to find out, hopefully tomorrow.</p>
<p>Wow stereostaticxx, 2240 sat is SO low and establishing your own community service organization is no big deal. You’re so humble about it

<p>Oh wow! I sincerely had no idea! I read about these four winners of a coca cola scholars program last year and they were all super incredible (literally the stats which i posted in my first post), but now im starting to think that they werent from the same program! FAR MORE EXCITED NOW! haha, and good luck to all of you guys too! like people have been saying, were all just lucky to be here!</p>
<p>are there different amounts of awards? i know there’s a 10K regional award and a 20K national award, but i was reading last year’s thread and some people were talking about getting the silver all-state award ($12500). does anyone know about this?</p>
<p>They look at more than just scores and service hours. I know those four all had very different amounts of community service, but they look at leadership and being well rounded as an individual. And all I know is that they give 50 20K scholarships and 200 10K scholarships - I haven’t heard anything about the other ones. It could possibly be different this year? All I know is that we are all amazing people and that is why we made it this far. What it comes down to now is our scores, grades, community service, and personality from our essays. It should be less than 24 hours til we know!</p>
<p>Kudos KMW…thats’ what I’ve been saying. we’re all leaders in that we’ve made it so far…the best of the best…we should pat ourselves on the back and sit on our hands while we wait patiently for the final list…</p>

Heck, I can’t even go to college at all without it, but we’ll all survive , move on and be great at our passion someday…that’s the type of kids that makes up the group of 2100 that we are part of. whatever will be is meant to be.</p>
