Whoa that's crazy Adeazy. I agree with ffsoul when he says some of the selections are random. You obviously have great community service qualifications and I am told that I had great grades/EC qualifications but we both weren't selected. Maybe if we had joined to create a hybrid lol? Though I am sure it is ubercompetitive, I know a few ppl who were selected who didn't have the stats that you have.

arpesh- Thanks. Yeah its a bummer, but definitely nothing to be ashamed of. I'm just hoping this isn't the same type of thing that will happen on my admission decision to a couple of my reach schools :(

SAT: 2110
SAT II: 710 760 780
GPA: 3.8/4.0
Most notable accomplishment: Summer Research
various ECs, several leadership positions, nothing spetecular
great essays

So am I! I accidentally stumbled upon this website today, and found some fellow coca cola scholars. I totally was not expecting it, but it's def a nice surprise

maybe we should plan out a special meeting for CCers ;)

we def should, because we're def special:)

we have to be able to identify each other by a sign, lol

yeah, isolate those MIDDLE FINGERS! ^^

There was a kid at my school that was a finalist and his stats were low. He has impressive community service though. Competition a crap shoot eh?

yea... so many qualified applicants, i suppose it's like winning the lotter. i'm not complaining, i feel really lucky :)

ahah jason this is monika. it's nice to put a face to the name, finally.

thank God for myspace lol

i've yet to hear boo from coca cola one way or the other. anyone else? does this not bode well?

i would hesitate to tell you so, but that's my inclination...many (i think about a dozen) have posted here stating that they have heard (though only yes--no rejection confirmation)

but you never know...how did you hear of SF status? b/c i got hard copy letters for SF and finalist, but no emails either time...and some received both...so it could just be coke's craziness...

They've posted the list of Regional Scholars/Finalists by state on the foundation's website. If you click on the "More Info" tab at the top, you'll see the link for the lists of Semifinalists and Finalists. Both lists are working.

If your name is on the Finalist link, use your user name and password (the same ones you used to get into the protected part of the site as a Semifinalist) to log in under the "Four Year" tab. There's a form they need quickly in order to book flights. It is NOT one of the forms that was sent as an email attachment, so it is important that you do this right away even if you have already sent in the email attachment forms. Plus, those of you who did not receive the Finalist email will be able to download the releases and indemnities that the foundation needs to receive (by mail) in early March (these are the ones that were attached to the email).

Congratulations to the 252 Finalists and to the 2100 Semifinalists. Getting anywhere in this process is an enormous honor.

Congratulations. From my D experience "get the young chaperones". You'll understand when you get there is the situation still exists.
