I am a current junior in high school and I was wondering what stats I need in order to get into Cockrell. I will most likely graduate 9-11% so I am not an auto admit. Anyway, if you were rejected or accepted please post your stats.
2350 SAT/34 ACT, top 3% (20/640), 4.38/3.76 GPA. Chem Engineering + Engineering Honors Program. Chance of acceptance is also dependent on which program you apply for; some are more selective than others. Be sure to look for ECs and aim high for your scores!

This is a results thread for future applicants… try to keep discussions and opinions in the other 2019 thread. Thanks!

[ b]General Comments:**
Honestly don’t give up, colleges aren’t looking for a reason why your not good enough, but why they should let you in, so even if you aren’t perfect or don’t have that 2200 most kids here seem to have, you still have a shot.
My stats are lower, but I applied for computer engineering, which is part of electrical, which is the largest department at Cockrell. If I wanted chemical/Petroleum/biomedical, it would be a different story.
