This thread is for all of you who have applied as a transfer to the Cockrell School of Engineering at UT! Post your stats! When do you think we will find out admission decisions?

I am transfering from Lone-Star College in Houston:

GPA: 4.0 with 58 hours (73 by the end of this semester...but about 20 won't transfer as anything I need).

1 letter of rec from chemistry professor

EC's: nothing special or "eye catching"...just normal volunteer stuff and a few little things.

What about you all? Where are you transfering from and GPA's?

Hi,
I’m from Tarrant Ccounty college and looks forward to Cockrell for Computer Engineering. I scored 120 for college level math and all algebra in Accuplacer. Because we have just been immigrated from India, I thought to join junior college for taking the core. I woud like to get helpful hints and hence can move accordingly.

-3.53 from a 2.2 GPA with 73 hours (upward trend probably doesn’t matter)
-Texas State University
-Applying to EE
-Aircraft electrician in the Air Force Reserve
-No volunteer or EC
-Average to below average essays

No idea if I’ll get in. Maybe they’ll give me my second choice of entry-level computer science.

Applied for civil with a 3.56 gpa 73 hours(84 after this sem.) from ACC. All A’s in calculus and physics, 3 letters of rec., average essays, some ec.
