Cockrell School of Engineering Acceptance

For me (the graduating class of 2012) to apply to UT engineering early August 2011, in the top 5-6% of my class have a decent chance? I haven't taken any blow offs through high school and have taken all, and extra AP courses instead of electives. I know it depends on my SAT scores as well, but from my ranking, and courses alone would y'all chance me?

My Junior Year (this year)
Psychology AP
Chemistry Pre-AP
English 3 AP
Pre-Calculus Pre-AP
U.S. History Dual
Environmental Science AP
Art 1 (required)
( also in cross country/track before and after school)

bump…

You’ll get in. Just make sure your SAT score is at least 1900 and don’t blow off your senior year. I am top 4% at my high school and I got in to EE at Cockrell with a 2000 SAT. I only had 1 AP class my junior year and 4 my senior year (this year).

Senior year I was thinking of taking:
AP Calculus
AP English
AP Economics
Dual Government

The rest would be blow off electives. Would that be alright?

That’ll be fine. Senior year classes don’t have much of an effect on colleges as scores and rank do.
