I know the Cockrell School of Engineering at UT is a top engineering school and I really would like to get in. I'm a current junior, I've taken 5 total AP courses(currently enrolled in 4 of those which consist of Physics 1, Chemistry, U.S. History, And English). And I plan on taking around 4-5 more next year. After taking my PSAT last year I was projected to score around a 2100 and after taking a few practice ACT's my average score is around a 32 or 33. I'm top 6% (37th out of around 640) of my class, but I've been constantly moving up so that rank could very well go up by the end of this year. I played softball for 2 years making Varsity last year, but I couldn't continue to play due to the time commitment. I decided to still be part of the team as a manager though. I am a active member in both our schools math club(applying for national math honors society in spring), and our GSA. I also am in NHS(I know no big deal anymore), and will be participating in UIL Science, and possibly Math depending. I was placed on the acdemic all district team last year(also not an overly big deal, but hey it's something), and have around 45-50 service hours. I'm a girl and from Texas. I would like to major in chemical engineering, and I wanted to know if I'm on the right track for cockrell or if you had any suggestions for other schools.
Thanks!
