CoE chances

I am applying ED to CoE

GPA UW: 3.5, GPA W: 4.16 (out of five)
Rank: 76/1200
Strong upward trend in my grades though, I had a 4.0 uw Jr year

SAT 730 CR 730 M
ACT 33composite, 33m 33s 33e 32r
SAT II 720 MIIc, 790 Chemistry
APs taken: envirosci-5 ush-5 stats-5 chem-5 worldh-5
APs this year: physics C, usgov, comp gov

ECs marching/jass band fresh year,
Football soph and jr year,
Chemistry research Sr year, (wrote short essay on common app about using H-NMR analysis to look at the products of the maillard rxn).
Ive had 3 jobs (15hr/wk) since I was fifteen, and I have had my current job for 1 1/2 years (wrote main essay on common app about how I got to know a mexican bus boy where I
work and how he changed my mind about illegal immigration and what America is about).

I wrote my supplemental essay about how I want to popularize thermal depolymerization.

Also, I am taking Organic Chemistry at a local 4yr university, so I had to rearrange my schedule to take a lighter load during the year and I took calc over the summer at a community college (got an A).

bump..........

T Boon Pickens, the actual one, is the man; I agree. ACT is solid; probably about 75th percentile for Cornell. Your SATs are also pretty decent; 75th percentile math, 60th or so CR. Decent SAT 2s. Really good ECs. Excellent APs. I'm assuming CoE is Engineering. But Where's AP Calc.? How are you taking AP Physics C without it? I'd say good chances, though. Also, what state are you from? That could play a role.

I took calc I over the summer at a CC because I did not have room in my schedule for it this year. Got an A in it too.

80 percent ED. The only thing really holding you back is your SAT Math score, but I think everything else more than makes up for it.

Yeah, it's a shame collegeboard.com doesn't give IQR SAT ranges for each individual college.

But that doesn't mean they aren't available elsewhere.

75 percent of the incoming class in the Engineering school has a Math SAT score higher than 720. 25 percent has a score higher than 790.

For admitted students it is even higher, 730 and 800.

bump 10char

bumpity...
