I just got the engineering packet in the mail today. On myberkeleyapp under "next steps" it says that once the packet comes I need to submit some documents by June 1. What are these documents, because it says nothing about turning anything in by June 1 in the packet. It just mentions bringing everything to Calso...

Is the June 1 date just referring to people who can't attend Calso?

I’m definitely curious too. I still haven’t received the documents and can’t find them on the website. Even if it told us to submit them by June 1, it doesn’t say to whom.

Weird. Last year the flash drive they sent to everyone in CoE had all the PDFs of all the engineering materials you’re supposed to receive at CalSO. AFAIK, we didn’t have to send anything by mail before or after CalSO, the files were just to give CoE freshman an idea of what classes they need to sign up for. I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

I’ve been asking around and as of yet no one really knows what documents to turn it. Can anyone recommend the best adviser to e-mail to ask about this?

I think it’s just the Course Planner. I e-mailed Robert Giomi because I’m FPF and haven’t even received it because i get it in like October. He said that it’s just important to review the info and fill out the plan to bring out to CalSo.

I do remember vaguely having to to turn something in by June 1st but I remember that I did it through myberkeleyapp online so I’d go through that checklist of things to complete on myberkeleyapp. Yeah, and they should have sent you a flashdrive with all your papers for CalSO or something like that. I don’t remember getting any actual paperwork in the mail (unless CoE doesn’t have enough money for 512 MB flashdrives this year).

I’ve searched myberkeleyapp high and low and there is nothing that repeats that June 1 date. Oh well, I think it might just be a mistake. And yes, we did get flash drives this year with papers for CalSo so I’m just going to complete those documents and hope that’s all they wanted us to do.

Yeah, I was worrying about this too. So, I guess it seems like everyone thinks that the “Submit” was a typo, and, rather, it should have said “Review” or something instead?

I got the packet of documents. You don’t need to turn in anything June 1st. It’s just a reminder to review everything they sent you in preparation for CalSo. Specifically, they want you to have the signed College of Engineering policy form, and a course planner.
