<p>Are coffee machines allowed in dorms at Berkeley?</p>
<p>I don’t know if it is allowed, but there’s no reason you shouldn’t have one, <em>wink wink</em>. I had a legitimate espresso machine in my dorm freshman year and I swear the first time it ejected all that steam, my roommate and I were ****ting in our pants that it’d set off the fire alarm.</p>
<p>Guy in the room next to me kept a professional quality espresso machine in his room… A girl on the other side had a rice cooker… As long as it doesn’t have massive heating apparatus (like a portable gas stove) I’m pretty sure you will be fine
Steam from the coffee machine isn’t that bad. Although I’m pretty sure that few of those 2~3am fire alarms were due to somebody cooking in the rooms (or smoking?)</p>
<p>We have a coffee maker and rice cooker. Our RA sees them all the time. Maybe he’s cool or maybe they’re allowed, I’m not sure. Don’t let the man get you down! Drink your brew!</p>
