So I got scheduled by my advisor to take Cognition my first semester.
But I don't know anything about this class.
And my schedule doesn't say who is teaching it.
Should I change classes? What is this class about?
The class is PSYC 3466.

What’s your major? I’m assuming you’ve taken AP psych? It’s a little strange that they’d place you in that unless you requested it as an elective or have tons of AP credit so don’t have many basic reqs to take.

Cognition is just the biological/psychological processes that go into thinking/perception, blah blah blah. I’ve never taken it so I can’t be much more specific than that.

BNS. yeah i had ap credit for psychology… but it does seem odd i would get put into it.

Is it easy to change classes after classes start up?

It’s easy during the first week because you haven’t really started assignments yet. After the first three days though it can be tricky to get a professor to not hate you for starting late. Also keep in mind that a lot of classes are full by the first week. If there is a particular class you really want, but it looks full now, keep an eye on it during the first week to see if someone else drops out of it and a spot opens up.
