I want to pursue a cognitive science major in my college career. Any current student or alumni could help me out in knowing more about cognitive science at Northwestern. Also, is Northwestern just too rigorous in academics? It would help a lot in making my decision. I am an international student and senior in high school.
Thank you
Northwestern University is a very serious school with respect to academics. (Think Univ. of Chicago, Columbia, WashUStL, Johns Hopkins, & UPenn. )
Because Northwestern is on the quarter system academic calendar, there is no way to coast during the school year. Students need to be firing on all cylinders during the academic year.
Students have fun and there are parties as well as Big 10 sports & great theatre for entertainment, but NU is a serious school filled with motivated, high-achieving, brilliant students.
Northwestern University has a great location adjacent to Chicago in a spectacular setting on the shores of Lake Michigan.
