Any opinions on which schools have the strongest cognitive science programs? I have seen past threads but they're a bit outdated. Thanks!

Which part of the USA do you want to be?

UCSD has a very strong department, we visited the faculty after acceptance, but my D did not go.
Brandis, JHU, Brown, UCLA, Berkeley, NYU they are my DD’s Choices. Of course my nice just graduated from MIT (in Neuro S.)

I’d truthfully go anywhere. The UC’s are a bit sketchy, however, since I don’t think I’d get much money as an out of state resident.

Stanford, MIT, JHU, Rochester, UPenn, Brown, and CMU all come to mind.

You can start by taking a look at USN&WR ** graduate ** rankings in [cognitive psychology](http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-humanities-schools/cognitive-psychology-rankings).
