Cognitive Science

Can I get some thoughts on this program? I am actually interested in pursueing this major instead of Haas just because I'm not sure if I'm that impressed with a business degree anymore, especially since I found myself enjoying econ more (but damn I'll tell you what Haas >>>>>>>>>>>>> Evans).

The path I would take would probably be the computational modelling focus, which looks to me like "Computer Science Lite." I would probably complete the 61 series and get those 3 upper CS courses in, but I was wondering, although I'm really not looking into doing it specifically, would a Cognitive Science degree gimme a chance at a programming job when I get out of college. I'm more interested in graduate school, but I'd also like to keep my options open. Is Cognitive Science a respected field to go into, because it seems in many ways to be very broad combining pyschology, linguistics, comp sci and everything together, and very new, which might not be attractive some employer/grad school folks.

Anybody in the major want to shed a little light on it? Thanks!

I'm also looking at Cal and the cognitive science major, though I think I'm more leaning more towards the neuroscience side......I would also like to know other people's opinions about the program!
