Cognitive science

I was wondering if anyone has experience with cognitive science programs, and if you could give me some more information on them. I like linguistics, computer science, and philosophy, but not really psychology and biology. Should that keep me from pursing it or is the major usually flexible enough that I can get around that?

I was going to double major in linguistics and computer science, with the intention of entering a computational linguistics/natural language processing graduate program. Any thoughts on how cognitive science would compare in terms of preparation?

Since your not so much interested in the biology part of cognitive science, a B.A. definitely has less of that, but a B.S. degree also has some emphasis on computer science (depending on the program).

If you’re really interested in linguistics and computer science, I would suggest you pursue those instead of cognitive science, which has more emphasis on biology compared to linguistics.

When it comes to graduate programs, I think it’s better for you to see what pre-requisites graduate programs require as an undergraduate and then assess your situation from there.
