<p>General comments/advice/hindsight:</p>

<p>I applied to Colby last second because there was no application fee and it had the easiest supplement of Bates, Bowdoin, and Colby. Now, I’m a presidential scholar, I have no loans and I only have to pay $6,800 out of pocket. It has steadily become the college I am going to attend in the fall and I only applied there on a whim. Even if you think you have no shot, or you don’t think you can compete with the highly qualified applicant pool, apply anyway. You never know who they’re going to accept, even if you think you’re low on the applicant totem pole. College admissions is kind of a crap shoot.</p>

<p>Congratulations. You may be aware of this, but Colby doesn’t give “scholarships,” Presidential or otherwise. Colby gives grants based on need. No merit=based aid is given, so your admission was based on your academics, but your aid is based on need. Congrats, again! Beautiful campus!</p>
