GPA: 4.0 uw/ 4.6 w
Rank: School doesn't rank, but at least within top 3% of class
ECs: only decent, lots of community service
Essays: really good
Recommendations: never saw, but my teachers knew me pretty well</p>

GPA: 3.99 uw - #1 in class of 25 (small private christian school)
Courses:hardest in my school, 10+ APs
ECs: Debate, student council, soccer, church groups and lots others
Recs: I would say average for anyone applying to NESCAC schools. Nothing impressive in particular, but i guess they worked :)
Essays: Really good! Colby's was the last one i wrote and after doing six others, i really had gotten a handle on what i wanted to say.
Hook: being from utah?</p>

<p>Anyways, congrats to all those admitted and my sympathies go out for those who didnt get the decision they wanted. At least this mind-numbing process of admissions is finally coming to a close, right?</p>

<p>Yeah, I really should have studied for the SAT I rather then blowing it off. My math and writing scores were kind of pathetic.</p>

I thought they were pretty solid, one (long) about getting trenchfoot (pretty nasty stuff) on a canoe trip, why colby and quote were pretty good, in my opinion.</p>

<p>Essay: not sure. some of my friends thought it was cynical and cliched. My brother liked it though. Colby essay about 'nothing faced ...' wrote about my cultural identity. CA wrote about youth development.</p>

<p>Hook: I'm an Intl student from Malaysia and I love the outdoors.
Unhook: needed financial aid. still didn't get the amount I hoped for.</p>
