Did anyone find out what time on the 23rd Colby will send us an email?

No email was sent for ED decisions, they are posted on the portal. Probably 5 pm EST or whatever time zone Colby is in

That will be 11pm for me then.

3 days, 11 hours, 28 minutes and 23 seconds

Colby applicant from Pakistan. Just btw, did anyone get an interview with Colby?

I had an interview in October.

Given that they are notifying applicants on the 23rd, I would think that they would update the portal earlier in the day- not 5:00 pm EST. I’m glad it’s not the middle of the night but it would be great, if it was first thing Saturday around 9:00 am for the East Coast.

Guys! Decisions are out already? This is what the portal says: “The Admissions Committee has completed its review of applications for the Class of 2017. Decision information is now available on-line.”

I’m afraid to look. I think I got rejected :s

I know it’s late for this, but can you chance me?

SAT: 1980 (first sitting)
GPA: 3.8 UW
Class Rank: top 10%
School Record: IB Diploma Program
Country: El Salvador

150+ hours community service
school newspaper
catholic youth group and church services

I also applied for FA and I’m asking for about 85% of financial aid… I think this pretty sinks my chances a lot. I was told by someone that my chances of getting in are 10% =|

2150 above 700 in all three sections. 4.0 GPA. Good Ec’s and essays. Rejected. from Georgia. requesting almost full ride

You just checked that right now? Wow then I don’t even have to look to know what’s the decision for me…

Waitlisted. 3.85 UW GPA, 4.31 W, 11 APs (4s and 5s), 2310 SAT (800 W, 740M, 770 CR). I’m an international asking for aid. Does Colby look at demonstrated interest? It’s nowhere close to being one of my top choices so my supplement was absolutely horrible haha

Admitted. International, SAT 1 1960 (610/690/660), SAT2 Math lvl 2 780, WH 710. IB anticipated score 40/42. UWC student, thus in a slightly different position to other internationals

Admitted! YEEEEEEESSSSS!!!
Dual national living abroad. IB diploma: anticipated 40/42. Sent SAT 2s: mid 600’s. Interesting profile (aren’t most people?).

Accepted! International student not requiring aid. 33 ACT. Yay!

Please let me see if I understand correctly: You didn’t break 700 in any single part of your SATs but you were admitted while those in the USA who did so are being rejected/deferred? Do I have the facts correct, IBinLux?

I don’t get it. Oscarlany was waitlisted while kjohak was accepted? Why are international students given such an apparent preference?

^I live in the US but I applied as an international student (I’m a Canadian citizen). I was also just rejected by Dickinson which was a little unexpected. But I also got an early write to Amherst today and I would’ve gone there over Colby so I’ll survive ;).
Concerning your SAT score comment, I think that after a certain threshold scores don’t make much of a difference. I showed absolutely no interest in Colby so I can understand why I was waitlisted.
And congrats to everyone who was admitted!

My portal doesn’t let me see it… anyone else with this problem?

ACCEPTED!!!
GPA: 3.61
SATs: CR 590 W 630 M 740 (1960)
School doesn’t rank
Residence: Massachusetts, USA

ACCEPTED!
GPA: 4
SAT (submitted subject): 2270
Rank: 1/38
Residence: Ethiopia (a country in East Africa, maybe now a days, Ethiopia has become popular)

Congrats to all accepted! I may see some of you on fall!
