Colby Class of 2025 -- Regular Decision Date: Mid-March

Thanks:) We are DE, so probably not too far behind.

Any news about financial information? Do you usually get it when you admit it by putting deposit? Just curious.

Many schools gave detailed information about how much for tuition/room and board. But Colby provide non of those information.

My son’s financial aid package was available the same day they released decisions.

Everything we’ve looked at seems to indicate that tuition, room & board are not separately itemized, but just rolled into one comprehensive fee. Aid seems to be just given in one lump sum grant and included with acceptance on portal

Colby has a comprehensive fee that includes tuition, room and board. For 2021-2022 it is $76,965. If there is a COOT (Colby Outdoor Orientation Trip) experience for freshmen in the fall, I believe that there will be an incremental charge of a few hundred dollars. The board plan has typically been unlimited swipes, however that changed this year due to Covid. Swipes were limited in order to reduce cafeteria congestion. I am not sure if they will go back to unlimited swipes next year.

I love when colleges do that, it makes it so much easier to understand. COOT is a terrible acronym  that’s a little close to some not-super-savory words

Our son committed to Colby this evening. We are so excited for what the future holds!

My daughter is deciding between Middlebury, Colgate and Colby. Wants to study math. If anyone has any thoughts on the other two schools feel free to comment or send me a message.

Thanks everyone!

Hi, I’m curious if anyone on the WL got an email from their AO reminding them about the waitlist procedures. Just wondering if this is a Colby standard practice or if it was a more targeted correspondence. Thanks!

I got one. From Luis Toledo. Also wondering the same thing.

It’s pretty common practice to receive one I believe. I got one from Bowdoin (and maybe Brown and Harvard?).

Anyone receive an invitation to “Colby’s Cancer Consortium”?

Yep! I think that email was sent out to Presidential Scholars. Planning on attending. Maybe I’ll see you there
