Hi everyone, I know we have a while until decisions come out but here is just a page where people can share their thoughts.
when are decisions released? a friend of mine applied RD
@enlevego Probaby late March like every other school.
I also applied RD to Colby. I’m an international.
@enlevego I just checked the Colby website and it said that they will post decisions on April 1st.
I think in the past it’s been somewhere around March 22nd.
The earlier the better!!!
It’s my understanding that competitive liberal arts schools release decisions simultaneously.
Admissions and Financial Aid decisions will be posted on Colby’s online portal on April 1.
According to the 2014 thread, some decisions came out on March 22.
Freaky deaky. Can it be March yet? lol
All is quiet…
I received a little postcard in the mail that said admissions decisions will be on the portal towards the end of March.
My Son just received the same little postcard, is their version of a likely?
I got this too!
@Azorean I don’t think so. This is probably just to get people through this waiting period.
D. received an email yesterday about the Presidential Scholars program.
“I am writing with news about Colby’s Presidential Scholars designation, an honor we bestow on a small group of students in each entering class. We are still shaping the Class of 2019, but from what I’ve learned about your academic record and interests, I think that you will be a strong candidate for this distinction. I hope that in writing now, in advance of our releasing official admissions decisions, I signal how good a fit I feel you will be for the program’s opportunities.”
Not sure if it’s a likely, but it sounds encouraging.
My daughter has received 2 likely letters recently, sadly not even a word from Colby, but that sounds like a “likely” letter/email to me…premature congratulations!
I think your right.
My son received the same email. All signs point to a “likely letter”. Can someone verify ?
My D also received this email. Ended up in a “promotions” sub-folder. I think it would be kind of harsh to get this email and then not get accepted or not get the Presidential Scholars distinction.
