D is having cold feet about her decision to attend BC. She has just been accepted from the waitlist to a less academically challenging university and is considering changing her decision. BC was her first choice. We will be visiting BC one more time on Sunday because that is the only day she can go. I know it’s the middle of finals so I’m afraid it will be a downer. Any advice on how to make the trip successful?

I think Sunday is a mix day. The plants are blooming right now, so by Sunday, it'll be beautiful (provided the weather remains blue). Most of the students will be done with their finals by then and are heading home so the campus will be deserted. Plus not many services will remain open due to lack of customer and lack of employees. THe best time to visit is after mid-June, the campus is really pretty then, plus there will be more people.

Thanks, Reddune. She has to make her decision very shortly so it will be a done deal by June. It's the '"feel" of the place that she is worried about - the balance between the social and academic - so, unfortunately, the empty campus will not help. That's what I was afraid of.

Sunday will be a busy day--kids moving out, but seniors will still be on campus!! They will be starting Senior Week (with Graduation on Monday, May21). I know D is going to be wandering around her favorite spots on campus with friends, taking photos and getting nostalgic about leaving--she absolutely is sad about leaving BC!! She has LOVED her time there!! Hope your D will stick with her decision to attend BC!

Hi - I was on campus today (5/13) packing up my daughter. There are still exams going on, so kids are still on campus. The final day for undergrads to check out is Tuesday. Plus, it was a BEAUTIFUL day today on campus, so I hope your daughter had a wonderful visit. I hope she still loves it.
