Coldplay

your opinion?

good music?

yes or no?

I really like them :]

I do like Coldplay; I wouldn’t consider them a favorite band of mine but they do have some great songs. Recently, I can’t stop listening to The Scientist. Beautiful beautiful song. :D

yes, they are not a favorite of mine either. I just started listening to more of them yesterday. Today, I discovered The Maine :]

My favorite band by far. I usually go through “phases” with the music I like, but I’ll always love coldplay.

How can you not love that?

I absolutely adore them. :D

Love Coldplay, especially all of the “forgotten music”.

I mean, their last album, Viva La Vida, was great, expecially the title song and Violet Hill, but going deeper, songs like Yes, 42, Lovers in Japan, Death and All His Friends - It’s probably the only full album I have.

I like Coldplay :)

The Scientist is a sad song…!

love Coldplay, lyrics are great
i like a lot of their dreamy stuff like Speed of Sound and The Scientist (i know, old stuff)
:)

Coldplay is like a mixture of Oasis, U2, and Boards of Canada, and I therefore like them, though not as much as I enjoy listening to Oasis, the Clash, Pistols, and shoegazer bands like the Verve and Slowdive

and Philip Glass :b

Viva La Vida FTW!! :)

Coldplay is my favorite band along with The Killers and Keane. I think Clocks and life in technicolor II are their best songs. But there are some other great songs like Speed of Sound and Violet Hill.

^ the Killers and Keane are AWESOME!
you should hear Keane’s cover of “with or without you”(originally by U2) on Live Lounge

I like Coldplay. Don’t love, not my favorite band (Streetlight Manifesto will forever have my heart), but I do like a fair amount of their songs.

^^^ Yeah, The Killers are pretty great.

All I’ve heard by Coldplay is Viva la Vida. Where do I start?

^The Scientist is pretty good, try some of their earlier work

I love Coldplay! I espessially like it when show choirs do their music! It’s really cool!

^That’s amazing! But it’s the only one I saw this year by Coldplay… I’m hoping next year more groups do Coldplay songs.

For guy asking where to start:

The Scientist
Fix You
In My Place
Viva la Vida
Life in Technicolor ii
Clocks
Politik
Warning Sign
Strawberry Swing
Lovers in Japan
Yellow
Green Eyes
What If
Swallowed in the Sea
Talk
Speed of Sound
Shiver

Clocks and Speed of Sound are probably my 2 favorite songs by Coldplay (which isn’t really fair because they sound so alike).

I have pretty much every Coldplay song; for getting just a taste I definitely recommend Clocks, Yellow, Green Eyes, and White Shadows… then definitely buy Parachutes because it’s an absolutely beautiful album.

Love them.

Seeing Coldplay, Muse, and U2 live is one of the things on my bucket list.
