I am new to college confidential and was wondering what would ones decision be if they were accepted at both schools? Which one would you choose to go to and why? Thank you.

When it comes to schools like CMC and Colgate, I think that personal "fit" is a particularly important factor. It might help if you said a little bit about what you're looking for in a college, what your personality is like, what your interests are, etc. and then people could respond a bit more directly.

(Personally, I know a good deal about CMC and virtually nothing about Colgate, so I can't offer any comparison.)

Colgate and Claremont McKenna seem to be such opposite schools in so many ways that fit and where you planned to go after seem like much more relevant metrics than any absolute "which is better".

Already being from the northeast and most likely looking to stay there, I personally would rather go to Colgate which is a bigger school, Div-I sports, rural campus and had never even heard of Claremont until graduating. If I was from CA or the west coast and looking to stay out there, didn't care about the sports scene and liked the urban, but more intimate campus feel, I probably would have preferred Claremont. Which of these lines do you come down on? That's how you should decide where to go.

they are almost social opposites. One rural, one very suburban. One heavy greek scene, one with none. One has D-1 sports, and one is D3, but not very competitive. YOu can wear shorts and flip flops nearly all year in SoCal.
