Congratulations! When you drop her off, book a room in nearby Rhinebeck. Lovely Hudson Valley town with great restaurants, staffed by talent from the Culinary Institute. Very walkable. I hope that she and you enjoy the next 4 years.

As further suggestions, look into Walkway Over the Hudson; Dia: Beacon; and Storm King Art Center. The Maya Lin design, in particular, at Storm King should not be missed.

Also, if you like sushi Tokyo Express is a 2 minute walk from the campus. Does not look like someplace that you would just take a chance on from the outside! but the food is excellent.
