I applied to NJiT ( NeW Jersey Institute of Technology) a couple months ago but was rejected. They require a 2.5 GPA but mines is 2.48. I decided to retake a class, Calculus 1, to raise my GPA . My question is: Even If get a good grade in that class that would raise my GPA to a 2.5 or slightly over, would NJIT accept me ? Or would i need to retake more classes and make my GPA more than 2.5?
Speaking with them directly is the best route – better than internet strangers’ guesses. However, know that the 2.5 is simply a minimum. Solely reaching that doesn’t require them to accept you whatsoever. You should contact them and see a viable pathway to admissions. I suspect they’ll tell you to get a year or two of community college done in order to prove to yourself (and them) that you can handle college-level work. Plus you won’t be saddled with extraordinary debt/fees if a 4 year college isn’t right for you. Good luck
