thanks, sybbie, faline and firefly! Congrats to everyone and their kids for their final decisions - so many wonderful choices! And as sybbie said - now for the fun part of buying those X-long twin sheets! Thank goodness we have four months to collect everything on the list....

Go quirkily! Princeton all the way!

Might as well share my son's decision here too--it's Case Western for some sort of Engineering, probably Computer. Yay for having it decided! He likes the small size & the quality of students, chances to continue singing in choir or acappella, the overnight went well, and the Trustee's scholarship made his parents happy. Plus his brother-in-law is in graduate school there, so he'll have family. I think we'll all go up with him for orientation this summer and have a family vacation in Cleveland.

And fall semester is only 4 months away??? Where did the year go?

We are finally through with this L-O-N-G process - and everyone here is overjoyed. It will be a lot of fun to watch one of our kids thrive at an LAC and the other at a university. Our S is just delighted to be be attending Vassar College in the fall and our D had an absolutely incredible time at Harvard's admitted weekend and dropped off her acceptance while there. Everyone at both schools has been more than accommodating and lovely in every way, and I feel confident that they've each found their own niche.

How quiet it will be here in September!

Congratulations to all CCers once again for amazing acceptances and wonderful decisions. And thanks to all for the wisdom you have shared on this board. :)

twinmom - I find your story a totally wonderful microcosm of American social history of the last 40 years. Your SON is going to Vassar, and your DAUGHTER is going to Harvard. That is absolutely wonderful.

Welcome to freedom of choice ! (and most sincere congrats to both)

Hayden - We laugh about that too!

twinmom.
I too, have twins. They will be entering high school in the fall and I can absolutely see the same scenario, same schools, in my family in 4 years. Except they're both boys! Congratulations on those decisions and may they both have wonderful, productive years at their respective choices.

twinmom..what a picture of Vassar and Harvard's ethos of today..thanks for sharing this image with us and here's hoping you will be comforted when you miss them by discovering that they both are fulfilled in their new college communities. I have a friend sending twins next year and the dinner table is going to be so much smaller so fast for them as well.

Congratulations on the decisions, twinmom! Can't wait to hear you report on the merits of universities v. LACs.

Big congratulations to SplashMom's daughter on her decision! Yay Hendrix!!

Thank you fireflyscout! I'm just so happy the decision has been made. She followed her heart and I am sure she made the right choice.

Congrats to all on the final decisions being made!

Twinmom...what a ride with two kids....and what great outcomes and exciting opportunities ahead. Very cool.

I'm still wondering about Katwkittens and where her son decided to go! I think she needs to write a book :D.

Also still waiting to hear about andison's decision! He has some marvelous options to choose from.

He's back from Annapolis, was at Princeton on Monday and Tuesday of last week, didn't go to admitted student days, wanted to check it out without a slew of prefrosh.

He's thinking.

I think he is waiting for divine inspiration! I bought towels on clearance at Target today that I will return if he decides on Annapolis or West Point.

I posted probably 2 years ago how this particular kitten of mine makes me absolutely nuts. Why would this be any different??

On the other hand he has a date for prom, and is escorting several other dateless girls, so he needs several corsages for them (anyone seeing a trend?), has his tux ready to go and is planning a big bash for afterwards.

His sis (1 year older) is flying in for his prom. She can't stand missing the big things. Maybe she can throttle some sense into him. She'll come home for this but not for Spring Break!

Kat
UGH! boys boys boys!!!

Kat - Does he have any leanings? If not, I bet big sis will be a big help.

I thought Andison was going to MIT????

It's posted now and official. Andison at MIT. Hooyah. And now the book, followed by the TV movies?

Congrats to Andifamily!!!!

congratulations Andi and Andison! MIT is a wonderful choice and know Andison will have an incredible 4 years there!

Yipppeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cangel we had to wait for financial aid package before final decision could be made!!

Kat you just tell that son of yours that you're going to be the last parent to post on the acceptances list if he doesn't hurry up and decide.

Twinmom he may not have ended up at school with one of yours but he'll be nearby.

Congratulations to everyone, and a special welcome to the MIT Family, Andi and son! What a difficult choice he had, and what a fine set of options this year from which to choose. I hope the sun is shining in Boston today.
