For my commonapp, I have 9 good activities already in place. I can either keep it at 9 or add a 10th and final one being BETA club. The only problem with BETA is that I only did it my 11th-grade year. I put in about 30 hours of service with the club, but it just wasn’t for me. I wanted to do more independent service rather than do it through BETA, which is why I didn’t pursue it my 12th-grade year. I did put some hours in, but I don’t think it’s that strong. Should I fill it out to get 10 activities or just roll with the 9 I have?
Just because there is space to list 10 does not mean you have to fill all the spaces. Choose the ones that are meaningful for you. If it’s, then it’s fine. Some applicants use all 10; others use fewer. But it’s your application, so you decide. Good luck.
I’ll just stick with my 9. I doubt my one year in BETA club would add much, if anything, to my application as I already have a good deal of community service outside of it. Thanks!
