<p>My daughter had a 3.x unweighted (4.2 weighted - want to say unweighted was 3.3 or 3.4) and only a 28 on the ACT (worse SAT). She got accepted at University of Cincinnati, University of Kentucky, Wright State University, and Ohio State University. She even got into OSU’s engineering. She’s pretty much set on OSU unless something drastic happens. </p>
<p>Your child only counts as first generation if neither parent has any kind of degree. An associate’s counts as a degree as far as I know.</p>
