Maybe. Depends on how you describe it in your essays/explanations.
If it’s just one line on a list of ECs, then it appears to be roughly equivalent to people who had a leadership role in a club.
On the other hand, if you are able to describe how you did this as part of your journey understanding more about _, what challenges you faced in both the organization and fundraising, what you learned from the process, how your understanding of grew from it and now you’re inspired to do ________… then this could be very helpful to showing who you are as a person and would be appealing. It would be even more impressive if you’re able to convey that you were able to do this through your own hard work rather than family connections.
