College Admissions Books to Read

I'm just a student, not a parent, but I decided to post this here as I remember that it was parents who listed these books.

I've been looking around the entire CC forums, and I remember reading some good book names, including "A is for Admission," "Harvard Schmarvard," and such.

Can I get author names for these, and some other titles?

Harvard Schmarvard is by Jay Mathews. I haven't finished it yet, but it seems ok.

Michele Hernandez wrote A is for Admission. Her latest book "Don't Worry, You'll Get In" is an easy reading book for students which deals with both the mechanical & psychological side of the college admission process.

Colleges That Change Lives by Loren Pope
Beyond the Ivy League, also by Loren Pope
Harvard Schmarvard, as noted above.
Princeton Review's Best 361 Colleges, for all of its faults, does supply good two-page reviews of many good schools
Fiske Guide is also pretty good.
