Low income family; first generation American/college student.

I took extremely tough classes but as a result my GPA dropped.
What chances do I have of getting into a good college?
I know Ivy Leagues are out of the question but what are my options?

It is hard to tell since we don’t know anything else (your extra-curriculars, hobbies, awards, location/where you want to go to college, etc.). You have a good shot at most mid-range colleges though, but I would also apply to one or two safety schools.

Btw are you going to be a senior next year? Or are you taking a gap year?

I’ll be a senior next year and my plan is to attend university directly after. For ECs, I’ve been president of clubs, and am extremely active inside school and outside (tutoring, drives, non-profits, etc). I have passed all my APs usually with flying colors , and I’m located in South USA.

I’m currently looking at all my options but prior to that, I wanted to apply to Pomona, Amherst, and University of Florida.
