College Admissions: SAT vs. GPA and ECs

hi i'm a rising senior and about to apply to selective colleges (and really nervous!). i'm biracial and a mostly straight A student (one B+) taking the most challenging courses available at my school and have gotten 4s and 5s on all my AP exams. also, i play competitive volleyball (with offers to play in college), work two jobs, am heavily involved in theater, participate in the select choir, take voice lessons, play two instruments, write for my school's paper, and am involved with community service. unfortunately, my SAT scores are god awful, like below 2000 and 1300, and though i'm studying SAT prep two hours a day in hopes of improvement in oct., i doubt i'll break 2200. i'm looking to major in CW or English and have taken college courses in CW already. i was wondering people's opinion about this question becasuse it's been driving me crazy: are strong colleges more likely to value high GPA and ECs or high SATs?

they value all three, but it depends on how strong your GPA and ECs are.
anyway try your best to atleast break the 2000 and keep your GPA up then you’ll have a good chance. A friend of mine got a 2050 on his SAT last fall, a bad score by Ivy league standards, but he ended up getting into princeton cuz he took alot of AP classes and was also class president.
Just do your best…and hopefully you’ll get that fat envelope next spring.
Good Luck!
