I think @spayurpets has done an amazing job…very helpful.
^I agree! Thank you @spayurpets for all of your hard work! @NASA2014, perhaps you could start a thread and do all the work associated with tracking schools 20-100? ;))
If you look at last year’s thread, some schools don’t release their data until well into the summer or even the fall. There’s still quite a few schools we don’t know about.
Rice RD/yield is still MIA. I have heard rumors that the freshman class is overenrolled for this year. @spayurpets said Rice usually doesn’t post final RD/yield results until late summer.
I am very curious about UChicago and CalTech numbers this year…
Same about UChicago^
@NASA2014 As I said in response to your bias claim before, I’ve never excluded any school from the list it they have reported something, and I’ve gone so far as to read through all the reports and threads from SUNY Geneseo to see if I could divine their admissions rate. The simple fact is that there is very little acceptance rate reporting by schools that fall below the top 50 or so schools. I’d be happy to post SUNY Geneseo if they actually gave enough data, and it’s simply not the case that there are schools that have disclosed their acceptance rate that I have ignored.
Here’s the last comprehensive list that I have done; I’ll see if anything has changed in the last month.

Here’s an article about University of Dayton, but not enough data to report an acceptance rate so far as I can tell.
@Cariño I posted Caltech stats in post #909 on page 61.
They did not provide enough info to break out EA and RD separately, but their line in @spayurpets’ list should be:
Caltech EA/RD 525 out of 7339 (7.15%)
This is down from 8.07% last year.

Bates College released their 2021 class enrollment data on their admission site… Overall acceptance rate 21.9%
Bates also with a yield of 44.2%
Thanks @collegeguy3 . I am surprised by that acceptance rate, as I thought it would be a little higher this year due to the number of kids taken off WL in 2016. Also the ratio of men to women is VERY surprising. 52% male this year.
The UC system has released admission rates for 2017 (but not yet yields).
Links to other data: http://www.ucop.edu/institutional-research-academic-planning/content-analysis/ug-admissions/student-workforce-data.html
Quick summary (there is no separate EA/RD):
Overall: 106,011 out of 171,867 (61.7%)
UCLA: 16,494 out of 102,232 (16.1%)
UC Berkeley: 15,567 out of 85,054 (18.3%)
UC Santa Barbara: 26,879 out of 81,828 (32.8%)
UC San Diego: 30,204 out of 88,463 (34.1%)
UC Irvine: 31,103 out of 85,097 (36.6%)
UC Davis: 30,945 out of 70,968 (43.6%)
UC Santa Cruz: 27,216 out of 52,974 (51.4%)
UC Riverside: 25,062 out of 43,675 (57.4%)
UC Merced: 16,315 out of 22,583 (72.2%)
Overall admission rate is up over 2016 at Berkeley and Davis. Down at the rest.
@Ynotgo do you know if that admission rates for out of staters increased this year? It seemed easier here in NJ this year for people to get in than it has in the recent past. Just wondering if that is a real trend or a fluke.
@collegemomjam Overall, yes it appears that it was easier for OOS this year than previous from the data broken out on http://www.ucop.edu/institutional-research-academic-planning/_files/factsheets/2017/fall-2017-admissions-table2.pdf
It may be a fluke. The UC’s deal with the legislature to get more funding was to cap OOS at the 2017-18 overall OOS percent at the campuses with over 20% OOS and cap the other campuses at 20%. I believe the UCs were also supposed to each admit enough to have about 500 more freshmen on campus for 2017-18. (So, even more forced triples in housing.)
Expected yields affect how many they admit, so it’s hard to tell how those will change. The OOS Supplemental Tuition is up to $28K this year from $23K just a couple years ago. It will probably continue to rise.
