College Admissions. Unweighted Vs Weighted GPA.

The Question is simple. Well, There are 2 of them.

When in high school AP's/IB's boost your GPA, (Hence weighted), do colleges look at your weighted GPA or just your unweighted GPA and the rigor of your course-load (or even both?)

When colleges (overall, not asking for specifics) publish their admission statistics are the listed GPA's Weighted or Unweighted?

Often, it is either a holistic look at the courses and grades, or a GPA recalculated by the college’s method. They are not likely to compare the weighted GPAs from different high schools that use different weighting methods.

Unfortunately, the colleges’ reported high school GPAs of applicants and admits may not be consistent with regard to weighted or unweighted.
