College advise for artist with many indie art interests

Hello,
Everyone I would be interested in attending film school or an art institute. However, I also feel like I am just starting out as an artist( I lack the tech skills) and want to learn the art history, analysis and creation before specialising on an specific medium.I am more interested in independent works(in music: Wire and GBV)and foreign art, storytelling(manga like: Monster)I would like guidance from my teachers and the opportunity to learn and explore different mediums. What school could suit best?

In addition, I would like help organising myself(slight ADD.) In terms of academics I think I am doing alright,(scored 30pts on the IB and achieved 5 in all my HL subjects.)

Thanks

I’m not exactly sure what your stats mean. Do you have your GPA or SAT scores? Do you know what your parents can afford, if the school should be in a rural, suburban, or urban environment, what regions the school must be located in, how many students, etc?
Off the top of my head, here are some East Coast schools: Bard College (not Simon Rock), Wesleyan, SUNY - Purchase, Brown (mega reach for everyone), and Vassar

West: Colorado College, Lewis and Clark, UCSC (only apply if you live in CA)

Midwest: Kenyon, UIowa, possibly Oberlin

You’d probably have better luck posting this here: [Visual Arts and Film Majors - College Confidential](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/visual-arts-film-majors/)

Thanks I already post there. Regarding my parents financial students they can afford most schools, I would prefer a environment in which students lived in the dorms and a low student to faculty ratio.
