I’m in porter!
But I’m not into art at all! lol
still seems cool :)

Crown here…

I got into Kresge probably going to pick a small double, but anyone know what the flats mean?

man…i envy u guys who got into Crown, and it wasn’t ur first choice… Crown was my first choice, but i got placed in my fourth choice, Merrill. I haven’t heard much about Merrill, only picked it cause it was right next door to crown, and never thought i’d actually end up getting it. I’m probably gonna try and appeal unless i find a cool roommate at Merrill.

Err, I’m actually excited to be at Crown. It was my first choice 'n all…
Merrill is what I’ve heard people aren’t so pleased about.

I sent in my appeal for Cowell/Stevenson, but y’know, I’ve made my peace with Crown. If my appeal’s rejected (or if I withdraw it, depending on what my brother at Stevenson says) I’ll be fine with Crown. I’m better off than one of my classmates who got put in fifth-choice Merrill, which she didn’t think would actually happen.

I’m wondering… why does everyone hate Merill?

I’m with Pali. It’s not that I’m hate it or anything, but I dont think I’ll fit in . Plus since I got my housing packet, the theme of the year is “games” and thats totally not me.

Whoo! College Eight! =)

What sort of girl are ye then Denise?

i got ten! my first choice! :)

It’s not the “theme of the year”. It’s a new theme for people living in ONE of the houses. Not the entire college.

Guys, no matter where you live, I’m sure you will find people there like you and who you will hang out with.
I didn’t get into my first choice either last year (Cowell), got put in the polar opposite (Porter), and still ended up having an amazing time. Don’t get too down because you didn’t get your first choice!

Yeah, sometimes it’s a blessing in disguise. My friend last year really wanted Cowell but ending up getting Crown (4th choice). He is the COMPLETE opposite of the stereotypes you associate with Crown (has to party every weekend, never plays video games, not a big fan of studying, and plays for UCSC’s sports team).

However, he had the time of his life at Crown. I wouldn’t really get too caught up with appealing. Try out your place for a few months and see what happens. If you completely hate it after awhile, you can just file to move to another college. It’s college, learn to step away from your comfort level.

Some months ago I asked a bunch of current and past students about college affiliations. I got such a wide range of conflicting opinions that I’m pretty sure it doesn’t matter where you end up, you’ll have a great time wherever it is. Not getting the college of your choice is no big deal.

From what i can tell college 9 seems to be like 70-80% asian. Does that hold any truths? Cause if so id wanna appeal cause id want a lot more diversity.

College Ten woot woot! :)

@jamie343xc
I don’t know about that percentage but I do know that most if not all of the international students are housed in the ILC which is in College Nine and Ten. So that sounds pretty diverse to me.

when is the housing app due fellas?

@YOUNGMAFIAxt I believe its May 26th.

I got dumped in Merill my 4th choice poop I appealed to 10,9, and Crown though so hopefully I GET IN ONE OF THOSE :D
