College app question

<p>Currently I go to a predominately white university and I am applying to transfer to colleges with more diversity. I am an Indian American female and have always grown up in all-white communities for most of my life so I would like to go to a college that is more diverse, so that I can meet more people who have a similar background as me. So I was thinking of writing my essay on how I am beginning to search for my cultural identity and what it means to me, and would like to be around more people with similar experiences as me. Do you think that that is a good idea/topic?</p>

<p>If it is true and heartfelt, then it's a wonderful topic. adcoms read many, many essays, and can tell if it truly represents who you are. Being honest works best, in my opinion. Also add other minorities in the diversity mix. You have learned the white culure, want to experience your own more, and to delve into others, as well.</p>
