<p>Hello! I was wondering if any CCers did Kumon and worked there. I finished the reading program a long time ago and am almost done finishing all the Math Levels and will work there soon. Is it a good idea to write about Kumon in your college application essay? I heard that mentioning about tutoring programs is bad and shows that you're privileged, but what if you're really dedicated, did it for many years (about eight, to be specific), finished the whole program, and worked there?</p>
<p>OMG, you totally stole my essay topic! Haha, just kidding, but my experience working at Kumon was definitely an idea. I think that it could be a great idea if you can relate it back to something more meaningful about yourself.</p>

Yea, I was thinking of that too because I definately have something to relate to, but do you think it shows that I am privileged? I heard that’s a bad thing.
