So I'm applying to about 3 private schools, and I have some questions about the applications. People say that using the school's own application is better then using the common app, because it "shows" that you took the extra time and effort, is that really true? I'm applying to UPenn (super supre reach), Stanford, Pomona, and Claremont McKenna. I know that UPenn and Stanford have their own applications, but for Pomona do they have an online app? I can only seem to find downloadable paper apps. And also for CMC do they only use common app? I can't seem to find a regular application on their website. I don't really want to use the common app because it seems to confusing. Sorry for so many questions, but also for UC apps, do you put your weighted gpa or your regular unweighted gpa? Thanks!

bymp.....!?!?!

It does not matter if you use the college or Common application to apply.

its the same consideration, no preferences as i see it.

if schools don't like the common app they wouldn't use it. you're fine using it.
