***FAFSA, how does it work ?
Why does each school have a code ?
Why do I hear that its ' difficult / tough '?
How difficult is it ?
How long does it take ?
How do colleges determin how much aid you receive by FAFSA ?

Some schools have scholarships that you have to apply for seperatly..
Would you send it by mail seperate from everything ?

How do schools know that you actually participated in the extra curriculars ?
Do you send in your transcrips and FAFSA together or would you send it seperate ? By mail or Email ?

What would make me really stand out in my Essay ?

glamour,
It’s great that you’re taking an interest so early, it will pay off! You’re new on CC and I have a couple of suggestions for finding information:

Make good use of the Search function and take a look a the few most recent pages of threads on the forums you’re interested in. Much of what you ask are FAQs and can be answered in this manner.

When you have questions that cover a range of subjects, start separate threads under the appropriate forum (eg. FA & Scholarships, Essays, etc.).

A couple of quick answers to your questions.

Schools vary in whether they send decisions by email, snail mail or both, and they may vary on whether it’s a rejection or acceptance. When you start applying, each school will supply pertinent information on their website. The same with scholarships, the information will be on college websites and if it isn’t clear, you give them a call.

For FAFSA information, I recommend finaid.org.

Admissions applications and FAFSA are really two pretty separate processes, again, college websites tell you exactly what they want and how to submit it on their websites.

^^ Thanks for the advice & feed back ! Greatly appreciated .
