College Art Classes Online - Question?

Hey guys! So next spring, I’ll be going on a trip to Europe (Paris and Amsterdam). When you do that, you take an online Art class with the community college and get dual enrollment credit. (A one half high school credit.) The cirriculum goes along with some stuff we’ll see on the trip. I’ll definitely do that.

However, I want to go to an out of state college, and the credit most likely won’t help. So I’m taking a few classes on FLVS (florida virtual school), and they just re-added AP Art History, and I was thinking of taking it and doing a lot of it over the Summer. I figured it would be good since I’ll be learning a lot of art stuff anyway maybe I could do that. (I hate being unproductive during the Summer, so I would actually enjoy having something to do – I’m such a nerd lol.) I’m just not sure if it would look weird to colleges to have a very similar class twice and get 1.5 credits for the one subject. It might look like I just took the class to boost my GPA, which I don’t, because I think that the GPA system is dumb.

So anyway, do you guys think I should take the AP Art history class online. Also, if you’ve taken the class, any details about it would be great. Thanks!

You sound interested in it, so you should take it. I’ll probably be taking it starting August, so I don’t know much. But, on the FLVS Official AP thread there have been comments about a lot of essay writing and analyzing. Be prepared for that
