Only reason dOSU is unranked is b/c they went through a stretch w/o their best player, Evan Turner.

W/ Turner back, they are a top 15 team, maybe top 10.

As for the rest of the B10, every team except for Iowa, PSU and Indiana is pretty good.

Iowa just flat out stinks (due to all the defections/transfers); PSU has one really good player and not enough consistency from the rest of the young team; IU could be half-decent this season, but they lost their best player to a season-ending injury (been a tough season injury-wise in the B10).

Wow… I’m so disappointed in Purdue’s performance lately… Loss to Wisconsin, Ohio State, THEN Northwestern. The Northwestern loss is unacceptable in my opinion…No words to describe my disappointed…

I’m not surprised Northwestern pulled off that upset. Purdue can’t play like that consistently and think they can get away with it just because it’s Northwestern. Big 10 is going to be brutal this season.

Bump for contrast. The real question is will North Carolina make the NCAA tourney this year? Probably. But they do not deserved to be ranked in the top 25 with six losses.

I’d also argue you freshman have performed much less spectacularly than hyped.

We’ll make the tourney, but I doubt that we’ll go very far. Next year is our year to shine; this year apparently isn’t. We just need to worry about continuing our dominance over Duke this year and start prepping for the arrival of Harrison Barnes and company next year.

They have been incredibly disappointing so far, along with most other aspects of our team.

^^ You might get your wish if Duke pulls another typical collapse in late Feb. Though I have to admit they are looking better than I thought at the start of the season. Are you playing at their place sooner or later?

I’m certain you guys will be better next year. Though I still find it hard to believe that the arrival of three freshman will offset the loss of two seniors and most likely Ed Davis. I suppose your level of improvement depends on how you freshman improve by their Soph season.

The first game is in Chapel Hill, and our last game of the season is at Cameron Indoor in Durham. At the rate things are going right now, though, I don’t know if I’ll want to watch either game.

I’m hoping Barnes and company will have a John Wall-esque effect here in Chapel Hill, minus the vacated wins that will eventually plague that program.

Well, if UNC doesn’t do anything this year, I’d certainly be happy with Syracuse taking the spotlight. If 'Cuse goes far in the tourney and edges out Duke and UConn, I won’t consider this season to be a total loss.

I had a feeling that K-State was going to win. Watching Frank Martin is almost as much fun as watching the Wildcats play. That guy is one animated coach.

Haha Duke will rape UNC both times this year. Duke’s guard play is leagues above UNC’s even with Marcus Ginyard playing his absolute best. Also, Duke now has an inside game with the Plumlee brothers bringing in 20+ points a game in the painted area. Also, the squad is only getting better as the season progresses. Duke will end up a #1 seed if not a 2. UNC maybe a 7/8, they are just going to keep racking up losses as they play more games.

Next year it will be slightly more competitive but Duke will have a significant edge especially with Irving coming in the sharp shooting Seth Curry being eligible.

^But Texas still lost. They don’t deserve to be No.1 if they play like that.
That’s being too cocky. Duke might win both times but I don’t think they’ll blow-out UNC. Didn’t Duke lose to an unranked Wisconsin team a while back?

It’s too early to predict seeds but I’m certain that Duke will not be a No.1 seed. As good as they might be, they are not on par with teams like Kansas or Kentucky.
