College Board College Application Waiver

Does anyone know if it's possible to use a College Board fee waiver for a College Application if I didn't use a fee waiver for any of the SAT tests?

Thank you!

thats exactly what i was wondering- someone please help!

I believe you get a College app fee waiver from your child's GC/high school. Call the GC and ask him/her about a fee waiver. I think you just have to write a letter to the high school requesting it, etc.

Also, I believe (but am not absolutely sure) that you can use a fee waiver for applications but not for SAT's. However, if you are eligible for app waivers then you are probably eligible for SAT waivers.

The College Board has three different kinds of waiver cards: for the SAT reasoning test, SAT subjects tests, and college application fees. You have to use the right kind of card for each purpose. But the criteria your guidance counselor uses to decide whether to give you a card will probably be the same for all kinds of waivers - it's up the counselor, though the CB has guidelines.

i am an american citizen but live in india- does any one have an idea how i can apply for fee waivers(my counsellor doesn't know a thing about america)

I have no idea about foreign fee waivers. Sorry...

how many fee waivers for schools are we allowed tohave? I heard it was unlimited.....

fee waivers are not unlimited.

for colleges- you are allowed 4 college board fee waivers.

for the exam:

If you are eligible, you are entitled to use fee waivers to cover the cost of two SAT Reasoning Test registrations and two Subject Test registrations (for a maximum of six Subject Tests). Fee waiver cards are specific to the type of test you select when registering.

regarding foreign fee waivers:

there seems to be some conflicting information from the college board as they state:
SAT fee waivers are available for high school juniors or seniors in the United States, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territories who cannot afford to pay the test fees.
However, they also state:
You are eligible for consideration for fee waivers if you are:

an American citizen or a foreign national testing in the United States, Puerto Rico, or United States territories; or
an American citizen living outside the United States; and
you meet the financial eligibility guidelines for fee waivers, such as participating in the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch/National School Lunch Program at your school. Your guidance counselor will share and additional eligibility guidelines with you.

for the most part if you are living out side of the U.S. there is also a liklihood that you are attending school out side of the U.S.

But shreya.iitk ,

Since you are living in India, I do not think you would be able to get a fee waiver although you may be eligible.

sybbie719 - thanks for the information, and since the college board fee waiver is just for 4 colleges i think i'll just forget about it.
can i use the nacac fee waiver even though my school is not on their list?

only 4 college fee waivers?????? But each college is separate from others...i don't get it...
