So here's the situation. I want to apply Early Decision to William & Mary, and every page they have on the subject says "All materials must be submitted by November 1st". I thought October was the last test date you could take the SAT by and still have the scores by in by the ED deadline, but when I was choosing the colleges to have my scores sent to, there was a column labeled "Delivery Times" and next to each college it said "1-2 Weeks" for every college despite the fact that the delivery method was "Internet", with the note that the Delivery Times listed do not include the institution's processing time. Then, on a separate college board page, a chart says that "Scores by web" for the October test will be available on October 23rd, and "Paper Scores Begin Mailing" October 31st; and on the bottom of this same page, it says for the October and November tests, there is a rush delivery time of 2 days in order to make ED/EA deadlines...
So what am I to make of all of this? I'm going to assume that the rush delivery time note overrides the 1-2 weeks delivery time, but still, will the scores be sent instantly to the colleges on the 23rd since it's online? Or 2 days after the 23rd because it states there's a 2 day rush delivery time? Or, the dreaded possibility, 2 days after the 31st?
This is all so stressful, thanks in advance for the answer.

Contact William and Mary and ask whether they accept November scores. Sometimes schools will take in November scores, even though results are released well after the Nov 1 ED deadline. Your October scores will be fine though.

Yeah, the Oct. scores will be no problem, and don't even need to be sent rush delivery. When the college announces an application deadline, that's when they want you to have all your stuff submitted, but it also allows for schools that might be a little late in getting a transcript sent, or test scores that still have to come in, letters or rec., or whatever.

You can call and confirm that, but I'm sure the Oct. test scores won't be a problem. If you're thinking of taking a test on the Nov. test date though, definitely make sure they'll accept it. That is cutting it a bit closer, but still may be possible.
