So, I've heard from some friends that they got an email from Rice offering to waive their application fee because of their AP scores.. However, I personally decided not to participate it the Student Search Service because I already did so on the PSAT and SAT and just got a lot of useless college emails I didn't care about. So, point is, I want that waiver. I did very well on my AP's and I deserve a waiver... If I select a waiver request on my common app, do you think they would accept my request?

Ahem. You wrote “and I deserve a waiver”. Be cautious with “I deserve…”.

My S finished with 13 AP scores of 5 and was not offered an AP score waiver (he had 7 APs at the time of application) (he did receive a waiver however for other criteria).

You could politely contact admissions and request a waiver. These are reserved for students that the schools are particularly interested in having attend that school (for whatever criteria they choose).

Waivers are also sent out at different times, so possibly you will receive one, possibly not.

Login to your college board account, update your self reported scores and grades, and participate in the Student Search Service. Maybe they will send you a waiver. Asking for one is presumptuous. Think of the cost of not getting a waiver as the the price to reduce all the mail and e-mail you receive.

I just got notification of my fee waiver as long as I apply ED.
I got it because I was commended for national merit scholar and I chose Rice as one of my 2 schools to send the scores to.

Here is a WSJ article on getting application fees waived:
